Keri-Anne, I love the book The Secret Garden my Frances Burnett!
Also, I just read the book Martha Washington by Patrick Brady. Fascinating, amazing woman. It is a true love story! I found out all about the early history of this country we live in - it'll help someday as my kids are getting bigger and have questions about the history of the US. I bought it at Costco. Let me know how it goes!!
I suggest:
- Howl's moving castle, by Diana Wynne Jones
- A Little Princess, by Frances Hodgson Burnett
- Midnighters, by Scott Westerfeld
- Uglies, by Scott Westerfeld
- Zion Covenant Book series the Vienna Prelude, by Bodie Thoene
Revelation Space by Alastor Reynolds
Brillant.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Shannon Hale's Books: Goose Girl, Princess Academy, etc.
Good Luck!
Some good books that might be fun to read are Jane Austin books, I really love those! Also, for the hopeless romantics, Nicholas Sparks books are always good. To Kill A Mockingbird and Lord of the Flies are also great books, I love what you learn from them. Autobiographies are also very good, I recently read the autobiography of Hitler and World War 2, wow, I sure learnt a lot, it was a very insightful, good book.
